Scope: To assist faculty members, laboratory supervisor, and students for field research work and maintenance of the ASE research facilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide operational support and general services for the ASE workshop and research facilities
  2. Assist faculty members and students during laboratory classes, thesis, and research activities
  3. Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of laboratory instruments, IoT systems, tractors, engines, farm and laboratory equipment, classrooms, and office furniture
  4. Maintain the agricultural machinery shed, farm equipment, and research fields in good working conditions
  5. Monitor and ensure good housekeeping, safety, and efficient use of electricity and water across ASE facilities, laboratories, and research areas
  6. Maintain accurate records of assignments, maintenance activities, and work orders
  7. Perform other related tasks assigned by the ASE Academic Program and the Head/DFANR

Required Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Machinery, Agricultural Engineering, Agriculture Science, or a related field
  2. Able to understand and communicate in good English and basic Thai
  3. Proficiency in using the Internet, Microsoft Office, Google tools, with a strong willingness to learn new applications, and basic knowledge of Arduino, IoT/AIoT, and automation control concepts
  4. Experience in farming skills: Practical experience in rice, field crop, or horticultural crop production. Basic knowledge of fertilizers, pesticides, and soil preparation for cultivation. Experience with smart greenhouse (IoT) operations, drones, and agricultural or environmental sensors is an advantage
  5. Experience in operating farm equipment and tools for crop farming
  6. Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently
  7. Strong team player with good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
