General summary of role and responsibilities

Responsible for the marketing/promoting Energy, Environment & Climate Change Department will be focused on recruiting postgraduate students from diverse nationalities involves a range of responsibilities aimed at effectively reaching and engaging with the target audience, assisting the academic program head and support the staff team and other responsibilities as assigned by academic program or department heads. The following summarizes key responsibilities:

  • Market Research and Training: Conduct thorough market research to understand the preferences, behaviors, and expectations of potential postgraduate students from different nationalities. Use this information to create targeted digital marketing strategies.
  • Content Creation and Localization: Develop compelling and relevant content that highlights the unique aspects of the university's postgraduate programs. Ensure that content is localized to resonate with the cultural and linguistic nuances of the target countries.
  • Social Media Management: Utilize social media platforms to connect with prospective students. Create and curate content that showcases the university's offerings, student life, and success stories. Engage with the audience through comments, messages, and social media advertising.
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Implement SEO strategies to enhance the university's online visibility in search engines. Optimize website content, including program pages and blog posts, to ensure they appear in search results for relevant keywords in different languages.
  • Email Marketing: Develop targeted email campaigns to nurture leads and keep prospective students informed about the application process, program details, and other relevant information. Personalize emails based on the preferences and interests of different nationalities.
  • Paid Advertising: Plan and execute targeted paid advertising campaigns across various digital platforms, such as Google Ads and social media advertising, e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Line, etc. Allocate budget strategically to maximize reach and engagement among the desired international audience.
  • Website Management: Ensure the department’s website is user-friendly, mobile-responsive, and provides clear information about postgraduate programs, admission requirements, and application procedures. Optimize landing pages to encourage conversions.
  • Data Analytics and Reporting: Use data analytics tools to track the performance of digital marketing efforts. Analyze metrics such as website traffic, engagement, and conversion rates. Generate regular reports to assess the effectiveness of different marketing channels and campaigns.
  • Partnership and Collaborations: Explore partnerships with international organizations, educational agencies, and influencers to expand the reach and credibility of the university. Collaborate with alumni to share success stories and testimonials.
  • Compliance and Cultural Sensitivity: Stay informed about international regulations related to education marketing. Ensure that all digital marketing efforts comply with legal requirements and demonstrate cultural sensitivity to avoid misunderstandings.
  • Other tasks: Works with other units to coordinate and plan fund-raising, grants, marketing, communications, and outreach activities. Carry out any other duties as requested by the supervisor.

Academic Qualification and Experiences

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English language (speaking and writing);
  • High level of digital proficiency in Digital Marketing, Web Developing, MS office, office facilities, promotion and social media related platform;
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing tools, platforms, and best practices
  • Must have strong knowledge of content management system (CMS) such as WordPress, etc., and good understanding of Google Analytics;
  • Prior experience in website management, designing, web content writing, designing digital creatives, search engine marketing (SEM) & social media marketing is a must.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing, with a focus on campaign management and online brand promotion.
  • Experience in communication, marketing, reporting and outreach activities.
  • Pleasant personality and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work with different nationalities and flexible working hours as demanded.
