Scope:
The Structural Engineer will report directly to the Deputy Head of Wind Engineering & Structural Health Monitoring and undertake the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide structural engineering expertise across a range of wind engineering and structural health monitoring projects.
  2. Compile project information and assist with initial planning for wind engineering and structural health monitoring projects.
  3. Coordinate with the drafting, model shop, and wind engineering teams to ensure the accuracy of drawings, building models, and data.
  4. Develop test plans and analyze wind engineering and structural health monitoring data.
  5. Prepare comprehensive technical reports for wind engineering and structural health monitoring projects.
  6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and techniques.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. A master’s degree in civil or structural engineering with a strong academic background.
  2. Knowledge of finite element analysis, structural dynamics, and wind engineering.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  4. Hands-on experience with structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, and SAFE.
  5. Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  6. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  8. Openness to mentoring and constructive feedback.
