The School of Management (SOM), Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) invites applications for a full time faculty position (open for any rank) in Technology and Transformation Management. 

The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) is an international institute of higher education based in  Thailand. Established in 1959, AIT addresses the region’s growing needs for advanced learning,  research, outreach, and capacity building in engineering, science, technology, and management. Its  diverse student community represents more than 50 countries, with alumni located across more than  100 countries and territories. 

The School of Management (SOM) was established in 1987 and offers internationally oriented graduate  management education, including master’s and doctoral programs. SOM operated at the AIT Main  Campus in Pathum Thani, its Bangkok campus (Asoke Sukhumvit), and through AIT's presence in  Hanoi and Hochi Minh City, Vietnam. 

The School is seeking a dynamic and research-active and excellent in external outreach faculty member  who can contribute to its growing portfolio of academic programs, doctoral research, executive  education, industry engagement, and international partnerships. The successful candidate is expected to  have expertise at the intersection of technology, innovation, and organizational transformation. 

Areas of Research and Teaching Interest 

Candidates should demonstrate a strong research and teaching profile in Technology and  Transformation Management. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Teaching a minimum of 9 credits per academic year 
  • Research and publish regularly in reputable journals 
  • Supervise Master’s students’ research/projects 
  • Supervise Doctoral (PhD and DBA) students’ 
  • Initiate Sponsored projects 
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the continuous improvement of SOM’s academic  programs 
  • Participate actively in School and Institute academic and administrative activities • Contribute to SOM’s outreach activities 

Required Qualifications 

  • PhD/DBA from a highly regarded university with a specialization in technology Management,  Innovation Management, Information Systems, Management, Business Administration, or closely  related discipline. 
  • At least 2 years of teaching and research experience in fields related to Technology and  Transformation Management. 
  • Ability to teach graduate courses in Technology, Transformation Management, and relevant areas.
  • A strong track record of research and publications in recognized international peer-reviewed  journals. 
  • Experience or demonstrated potential in supervising Master’s and Doctoral students. • Demonstrated ability to engage with external stakeholders and contribute to industry partnerships,  sponsored projects, and other outreach initiatives of the School.

  • The initial appointment is generally for two years and is renewable.
