Terms of Reference (TOR):

The Multimedia Officer will work with the Office of Public Affairs (OPA) to create visual contents in various formats and to provide technical support for multiple media platforms of the institute.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work in the productions and post-productions (specifically taking & editing photos and filming & editing videos) of the institute’s events and activities 
  • Produce communication and promotional materials in multimedia formats, of different genres (studio, indoors, outdoors, candid, official, etc.), for multimedia platforms of the institute
  • Produce and post-produce portraits or identification photos of students, faculty, and staff in studio for official documentation
  • Assist in live streaming/hosting webinars of the institute’s events and activities
  • Assist students, staff, and faculty in the use of Digital Media Lab
  • Maintain media equipment (cameras, microphones, tripods, computers, etc.) to ensure all pieces of equipment are in good condition and ready to use at all times.
  • Maintain the institute’s website by updating content provided
  • Keep up with the trends in digital media productions and emerging technologies in media
  • Propose updates of equipment and training to keep up with the trends
  • Recommend creative ideas to stay relevant, in trend, and push the creative boundaries where applicable
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Passion to communicate and to create visually
  • Ability to use and to learn different types of equipment – especially still cameras, video cameras, photo editing software, video editing software and live broadcasting software – to create visual contents and to control live streaming program
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and maintain the institute’s equipment
  • Ability to work, specially to create visual content, independently and as a team
  • Photography and videography skills are required
  • Ability to set up studio lighting and/or sound recording in studio is desirable
  • Skills in creating graphics and/or animation and in maintaining website are desirable
  • 3-4 years of work experience in multimedia and video production
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Adobe illustrator, After Effects, Final Cut Pro/Premier, Zoom, OBS and knowledge in WordPress will be an advantage
  • Experience in creating visually driven contents on social media platforms such as Instagram, Youtube and/or TikTok will be an advantage
  • Creative, proactive, work in team-oriented and fast-paced environment
  • Higher Diploma or above in new media, multimedia design and technology, digital media, film & television, or related disciplines.
