Qualifications:

The candidate for the Career Center Officer position in the Career Center must have the following qualifications:

  1. Master’s Degree in Business Administration/ Computer Science/ IT or related fields
  2. Experience in career counselling or related areas
  3. Expert in programming and database design and query
  4. Experience in web application development
  5. Network administration and securities
  6. Good command of English
  7. Highly motivated individual, a great self-starter with good communication skills with students and company representatives
  8. Experience in organizing career fairs, company presentations and external affairs functions
  9. Able to work well in a team-oriented environment

The Career Center Officer should be a team-oriented individual that is able to interface effectively with management.  We are looking for an individual with organizational and presentation skills that can take charge of a program and develop it to fit the needs of students, companies and of AIT.  The candidate must be flexible and adaptable in order to function under diverse cultural environment at AIT.  Speaking Thai language is not required but is a plus if available.  Fluency in basic word processing, PowerPoint and EXCEL (with statistics experience) are encouraged.  A person with web site development and management is desired.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Form liaisons with industry/ organizations in Thailand and abroad for career placement
  2. Provide information to students, alumni and companies regarding career opportunities and placements
  3. Provide counseling for students regarding career placements, assistantships, internships and externships
  4. Assist in organizing Career Fairs twice a year
  5. Assist in organizing company visits by AIT and company presentations at AIT
  6. Supervise the design, develop and maintenance of Career Center database that includes student information and movement, scholarships, job vacancies, alumni status and input and company solicitations and profiles
  7. Supervise and/or maintain Career Center website
  8. Assist students with medical program issues and other related tasks in the Office of Student Affairs
