Role:

Under the direction of the Dean, SET, the administrative staff will undertake a range of duties associated with the promotion and marketing of the school and the recruitment of students and manage all the official digital communication platforms of SET. The post holder will be responsible for the development and implementation of the school’s marketing plans, student recruitment strategy and the conversion of applicants into fee paying students as well as overlook the digital marketing and social media channels. The staff will be responsible for the organization of visits/visitors in relation to the recruitment of students; new initiatives; and contribute to the design of promotional materials and advertisements. The staff will provide advice and guidance on postgraduate recruitment issues to program officers/secretaries, including portfolio development using market intelligence. The staff will promote AIT and SET by organizing on and off-campus recruitment events and represent the school.

Internal:  Dean/Associate Deans for PG studies, Head/s, Faculty Chair/members and other officers within the office, Heads of department, Faculty Chair/members, Laboratories and Departmental Officers and other officers within the office, VPs/Directors and Officers in the Service Centers/Offices.

External:  Schools, colleges, current and prospective students, advertising, design and PR agencies, alumni, agents, industries.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment:

  • Undertake all aspects of the promotion process for the school including responding to enquiries, appropriate follow-up action to convert applicants into fee paying students of SET. 
  • Enhance existing/develop new relationships with schools and colleges and other national organizations/industries where appropriate applicants are to be found. Coordinate new/revisions of MoU and MoA.
  • Facilitates and coordinates the organization of on and off-campus recruitment events for the school such as campus visits by liaising with departmental staff and relevant colleagues in the Service offices.
  • Act as the School representative/lead for institute-wide recruitment events, by liaising with Admissions and relevant colleagues in the Country/External Relations Offices & Media and Communications Office.
  • Present the School if needed at appropriate on and off-campus events, and to visitors and applicants.
  • Contribute/Develop the school’s marketing strategy, new strategies on student recruitment, and produce reports for the Dean/Associate Dean/Heads to inform the development to target new recruitment potentials.
  • Manage the school web contents, school webpages, news, and events pages.
  • From time to time take part in AIT Roadshows within and outside Thailand (requires travel).

Marketing:

  • Take a lead role under the Dean’s guidance in developing and implementing the school’s marketing and student recruitment plans, strategy to support the strategic objectives with emphasis on developing the use of web, e-marketing and new media aligned with the institute’s marketing and web strategies. This will involve working with the Dean, Associate Dean, Heads of Department, Marketing & Recruitment Task Force, Public Affairs, and other relevant units.
  • Manage the contents of SET webpages under the AIT website.
  • Manage SET digital and social media communication channels and professional network channels.
  • Manage Email Direct Marketing platform and conversion campaigns.
  • Manage all print, outdoor, online, and other advertising with graphic designers to ensure graphics and data specifications for advertisements are met.
  • Systematically gather market and competitor intelligence and conduct market research, disseminating findings across the department/program.
  • Develop proposal/business plan for promotion and marketing funding and initiate workshops/training & new initiatives as part of marketing for school.
  • Develop school marketing budget and execution strategy.
  • Develop a network or relevant marketing contacts within and outside the institute and use this network to inform the development of school activity.
  • Supervise school program officers on information dissemination over their program level websites and social platforms.
  • Manage the development and market analysis/testing of departmental and promotional material for publication via print, web, new media by liaising with department staffs, and coordinate the submission of the school’s annual reports.

Other Duties:

  • Manage the marketing budget and track expenses.
  • Support internal and external activities and events.
  • Assist in the development of school business plan, submission of the school’s annual reports, faculty meeting minutes and other responsibilities as required by the Dean, SET Office.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems or Business Administration major in Communications/Marketing/other related fields.
  • A minimum of 3 years of responsible work experiences in higher education sectors, or public agencies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and software
  • Skilled at website content management systems.
  • Skilled at email marketing platform
  • Skilled at social media management.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and listening skills, excellent writing skills, and good decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrate evidence of time management skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, ability to work independently in a team and with diverse groups of people. Cooperative, approachable, reliable, effective, and efficient.
