Job Description

Industrial Systems Engineering in the School of Engineering and Technology at Asian Institute of Technology invites applications and nominations for a faculty position in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering. Candidates will be considered at the rank of assistant professor and highly qualified candidates will be considered at the rank of associate professor. Priority will be given to the candidates with records of research achievement in one or more areas related to advanced manufacturing systems, additive manufacturing, product development, and operation research with a particular focus on the service sector.

The successful candidate is expected to conduct all academic activities including teaching and research in the subject area of interest, to supervise master and doctoral student thesis work and to publish outputs in recognized international journals. Besides, the candidate is expected to develop a partnership with industries, government and international agencies, to attract sponsored research projects and to participate in promotional activities to recruit students, in short training courses, in conferences/seminars, and in other professional activities.

Since its inception in the early 1970’s, the Industrial Systems Engineering has committed to prepare qualified engineers with the high-tech knowledge to support the sustainable industrial development of the region. Our focus has always been on responding to current needs and future trends for the industry to be competitive by providing a high-quality graduate education program. Today the Industrial Systems Engineering is the house of three fields of study: Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics and Microelectronics and Embedded Systems.

Required Qualifications

1. Hold a Ph.D. or equivalent in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
2. Have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research
3. Have strong publication record demonstrating the ability to conduct research independently
