Qualification:

Under the supervision of the Vice President for Development (VPD), the Senior Development Officer will work as a team with the Office for External Relations (OEXR); Office of Advancement (OADV); Office of Media & Communication (OMCO) and etc.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Build on existing partner relations to develop and establish new partnership.
  • Developing concept notes and proposals for submission to current and potential partners for resource mobilization for AIT.
  • Documenting, monitoring, and reporting on the use of funds/grants for scholarships and activities of various cooperation programs.
  • Lead liaison and communicate within AIT and externally with partners.
  • Coordinating and arranging AIT officials’ visits to prospective partners.
  • Develop new agreements (MoU and MoA) with partners, and organize signing ceremonies as required.
  • Contributing in promotional activities of the institute, such as development of promotional materials, promotions on the web, organizing promotional seminars, expert seminars, etc.
  • Collect information on partners, governments, private sector/industry, etc. from assigned countries regarding their priorities in development, education and  research.
  • Contributing to the development of the Institute’s strategies and plans.
  • Other relevant assignments as assigned by the Vice President for Development.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree (Master’s degree with minimum five years of experience), preferably in international relations or social science.
  • Relevant experience, including in proposal development, communications and promotions.
  • Familiarity with international, diplomatic, government, semi-government, and private organizations including development agencies, UN organizations, multilateral banks, foundations, and multinational companies.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and in a multicultural environment.
  • Articulate, ability to work both independently and in a team, and remain committed to the mission and principles of AIT.
  • Creative in solving challenges.
  • Excellent English proficiency with demonstrated writing skills.
  • Knowledge of other languages, such as Thai and Chinese – an advantage.
  • Good computer skills in MS Office application software, internet browsing, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in human resource management and financial management – an advantage.
